Splitledge Privacy Policy

Splitledge Privacy Policy
Draft for review

Effective date: October 3, 2026

About this policy

Splitledge is provided by TELTEKH. This policy describes how the current application handles information when you organize shared expenses. For privacy questions, contact admin@teltekh.click.

Information you enter

Splitledge stores the group names and member names you enter, together with expense descriptions, amounts, dates, payers, and selected participants. It also stores recorded repayments, including the sender, recipient, amount, and date. The app creates local identifiers to associate these records.

Member names are entered manually. Splitledge does not access your device contacts, location, camera, microphone, or photos. No account is required, and the app does not request bank account details or payment card information.

How information is used

Splitledge processes your records on your device to calculate equal expense shares, total spending, member balances, and suggested repayments. It uses saved information to display your ledger and update calculations when you edit or delete records.

Recording a payment only records money already paid between members. Splitledge does not transfer money or connect to financial accounts. Creating a group does not invite its members or automatically send them your records.

Local storage and collection

The Android app saves your ledger in private application storage on your device. The browser preview saves its ledger in that browser's local storage. The inspected ledger functionality does not upload these records to TELTEKH or an application server and does not include account synchronization.

Android backup is enabled. Depending on your device, operating system, and backup settings, app data may be included in system backups or transferred during device migration. Consequently, copies may exist outside the app's local storage through those platform features. Backup handling is governed by your platform provider and settings.

Sharing, advertising, and third-party software

The inspected application does not implement selling ledger information, sending it to advertisers, or sharing it with other group members. No advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting SDK was identified in the inspected source and declared dependencies. The app uses Android, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin libraries for its interface, storage access, and local processing.

The Android configuration declares permission to access the advertising ID. However, no code that reads or transmits that identifier and no advertising implementation was identified. The permission declaration alone does not establish that the identifier is collected.

Internet access and web content

The Android app declares Internet permission and includes an embedded web view configured to load https://example.com/terms-and-conditions. The current launch path opens the ledger directly; no user-facing route to this web view was identified.

If that web view is displayed, loading the external page would send an Internet request to the website. The website could receive your IP address and ordinary browser request information. JavaScript is enabled in that web view. The external site's logging, cookies, retention, and other data practices could not be established from the application source. No code was identified that passes your ledger to this page.

Security

Android private application storage limits ordinary access by other apps. Browser preview data relies on the browser's local-storage protections. The inspected app does not add its own encryption to stored ledger records or provide an app-specific password lock. Anyone with access to your unlocked device or browser profile may be able to view your ledger.

The configured external page uses HTTPS, but the ledger itself has no implemented network transmission. Encryption and protection of any system backup depend on your platform provider and settings. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

Retention and deletion

Splitledge keeps saved ledger records until you remove them or the local app data is cleared. It does not implement an automatic retention period.

You can edit or delete individual expenses and recorded payments. Deleting a group also deletes its expenses and recorded payments from the active ledger. A member associated with existing records cannot be removed individually until those records are removed; the member can be renamed.

To remove all local Android app data, use your device's application storage settings. Uninstalling normally removes the installed app's local data, but platform backups may remain and may restore data later. Manage those copies through your device or backup provider. For the browser preview, clear the site's browser storage to remove its saved ledger.

For deletion questions or requests, email admin@teltekh.click. TELTEKH has no implemented remote access to erase your locally stored ledger. The inspected materials do not establish a retention schedule or separate deletion process for privacy-related email correspondence. Avoid including ledger details that are unnecessary for your request.

Children's privacy

An intended age range has not been established in the supplied application information. The inspected app has no age-verification feature or separate child account system. Its local storage practices apply to any names or expense information entered, including information concerning children. Contact admin@teltekh.click with questions about a child's information; locally stored entries can be removed using the deletion controls described above.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to Splitledge or its information practices. The current app does not implement a dedicated privacy-policy change notification feature. Review the version made available with the app or its store listing for updates.
